Sticking To What You Know

Walking through Sephora during the VIB Sale, I was destined to find a blush that complimented my complexion but was from a company I never usually buy items from. Becca Cosmetics was first on my list to try. But for some reason I was drawn to a NARS blush and a Make Up For Ever Shadow Stick. I am a frequent customer of these companies so it made me think: should us makeup lovers stick to what we know or be daring and try products from companies we've never explored? Here are my reviews on these two products!

NARS Blush in Madly– It was hard to resist this NARS blush just for the clear fact that it is incredibly creamy and stunning when applied to the skin. Being a lover of cult favorites; Laguna bronzer and Orgasm blush, I knew I would not be disappointed.  What is great about this particular apricot toned blush is if you are fair skinned like myself you could easily use this versatile shade as a contour powder. Madly is just super soft, blends like a dream and I absolutely love it!

Make Up For Ever AquaMatic in Diamond Golden Gray – describes this product as a creamy, creaseless formula that provides nonstop color; this is the perfect description of this product. I was looking for a shadow that was low maintenance, something that was dark enough that I can smoke out to give my makeup look some extra glam (subtle sparkle in this shadow). I do recommend using a shadow primer under this if you have oily lids like myself. With a double ended sharpener and intense color pay off, it is clear why this product is a winner of Allure’s Best of Beauty.

Do you tend to stick to makeup companies you know you love or venture out to try different brands? I love to venture out but I find nothing wrong with sticking with your holy grail products! Let me know what you think in the comments below!

Till Next Time,
