Sadly New York Fashion Week has come to an end, but I thought this would be the best time to share my favorite NYFW Spring 2015 beauty trend!
It’s all about being natural. Long are the days for dramatic smoky eyes and intense makeup looks. Although they were super fun while they lasted (I almost never left the house without one), now it's all about enhancing our natural beauty. Ralph Lauren, Alice and Olivia and many others chose to tone down some over-the-top runway looks by keeping their model's makeup simple. Marc Jacobs had all barefaced models walk down the runway (that I just could not believe, but super cool!) Pulling off the no makeup look with makeup can be hard but follow my quick and easy steps to achieve this relaxed and natural look that I am currently loving.
a. Grab a foundation that perfectly matches your skin, this will help you look as natural as possible. I've been using Make Up For Ever HD Foundation for a couple years now and it is one of my favorite foundations, ever!
b. Concealer could not be more important. Cover dark circles and spots without over applying. Nars RadiantCreamy Concealer is a great high-end choice or if you are on a budget, Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Eraser Dark Circle Treatment Concealer is also a fav of mine.
c. Colors that will blend in with your skin while bringing out the color of your eyes are the best choice for a dreamy and natural eye look. So give yourself a nude smokey eye with just softer shadows and even some light shimmer. The Naked Basic Palettes 1 & 2 and Stila’s All Over Shimmer Powder in Kitten are perfect for achieving such looks.
d. Lastly, fill in those brows girls; they frame your face perfectly. Throw on some clear brow gel to hold those bad boys in place. Although it’s not clear, I love Benefit Gimme Brow to maintain my sometimes-crazy brow hairs and to just fill in the spots that I missed.
We are all so naturally beautiful in our own way, we could all be put at ease knowing that this beauty trend will be all the rage come spring. Have you always been rocking an au naturale look? (I've gotten a jump start on it myself) Let me know if you are diggin this look and any of your favorite NYFW SP/SU 2015 beauty trends.
Till next time,
